memory lane

The feeling that you get when you remember something from your childhood, it almost makes me shiver, and I almost always get goosebumps.  I got that today when I watched the Lion King with my brother Angus and his boyfriend.  It was one of the first movies I ever watched, back when I lived in Indonesia.  I don't think I have seen it since Woody was born.  In a way I'm happy about that, because I got the full experience all over again, I was constantly thinking, oh I remember that bit! Or I know what is going to happen next, or YES I totally remember all the words to this song!  Even though it can be so cheesy at times, I love it even more because It is such a beautiful movie! This watching of the Lion king just brought back so many memories, and discovering of those memories made me so happy today.
