work experience

As I am away for the specific week of work experience, I did mine in the past three days, with David Oliver.  He is an internationally acclaimed photographer, a Nikon ambassador and a family friend.  It was such a good experience to work with someone of that caliber, and I learned so much about photography.  He and his daughter taught me how to take professional portraits, and how to edit them without loosing the reality behind the shot. That night he took me down to Kirribilli to assist him in shooting an international campaign for the new Nikon camera, the V1.  I brought my D90 down with me and I had a go myself.  Yesterday I went to a wedding, and that was possibly one of the most tiring days ever.  starting at 9:30 am and finishing late that day, I probably spent 30 minutes sitting, and the rest standing, holding the reflector and smiling so I didn't look bored.  All in all I had 2 dumplings and thats it.  It was definitely tiring, but it was a really good experience. AND I got paid $100, so I'm pretty stoked.
